Trans in San Diego/Orange County
 

Hello folks,

Im afraid that there are issues with the trans in my truck. can anyone recommend a trans place here in San Diego (or up to Orange County), that is good with these trans'? Im not looking for a $6000 super wazoo trans, but I dont want to get an Aamco special either. the truck has RV injectors & I pull 10K with it occasionally, so its nothing too crazy.

I assume you have a Cummins backed by an auto trans. What year is the truck and what issues are you having with the trans?

I used to work at OC Diesel Shop in Mission Viejo and kept hearing that we would send transmissions to a place in Temecula called Walter's, I believe. Granted most of them sent out were ones that the customer wanted fully built but the going rate for him to build one with a Goerend converter and internals with a dunrite valvebody was around $4,000.

www.ntgracing.com. is a good shop in Santee. Joe Salas and Pablo Madrid are experienced Dodge/Cummins techs. I've had great luck with them.
