So Cal Pull in the AV

If anyone is interested Craig Johnson was asked to put on another pull at the Antelope Valley Fair next month....

So Cal Pull in the AV

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the Thunder On The Lot event, The fair wants to have a pull now. Sat.
Aug. 30, 8pm. Antelope Valley Fairgrounds www.avfair.com
There isn't any info on the pull there yet ,but I am working on that.
The plan is to have a 2.6, a 3.0 and a modified class, same as the thunder event. The classes will pay at least what they did at Thunder 1st $500, 2nd $300, 3rd $200. If I can do better I will. Need some hot trucks, let me know who thinks they can make it.

Craig

I'm not ready to pull but sounds like another opportunity for a GTG.

Well, still not sure if I can make it to this one personally. Any body in the chapter going already? Anybody going to go if we put somehting together? Let me know if any of you want somthing for this event. And I will see what I can do.

I apologize for my recent lack of presence here. Just transitioned to a new job, that allows me to access DTR during my hour lunch!! As soon as I can afford new tires and some running gear fixes I will be much more involve in the GTG seen. still waiting for the first check.

All I can say is wow! If you went to Thunder On The Lot consider that an opening act. This was the main event! 28 trucks I believe was the final pull count. A lot of the same contenders from T.O.T.L. Some real impressive trucks out out as well. Nothing compared to Big Bad Doge when he absolutely destroyed the Terminator with a pull well over 400feet

Anyone who didn't make it missed out big time. After we met for a bite we formed a caravan to the event and pulled around back to the pits. Being able to get under the trucks check out whats under the hood and take them in from eye level just added to the experience. By the looks of things I'd say this should become a venue on a more frequent basis.

Here's some pics. It was hard to get a decent shot with the lighting and these are just off my cell so quality probably is not too great anyways. I took a digital camera but I don't have the accessories to hook it up right now. Plus it ate 2 sets of batteries before the event was even over ( it's old) I'll get those up if they are any better when I can

a few of us parked

No intro needed

Partial line up

and a couple of pulls
