Big Rigs Talk about other Cummins powered vehicles here. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even have to be Cummins, but it will be diesel! :)

While not mine, I keep this on my computer. It's the grand daddy of truck engines for Cummins, The KTA1150, or as some call it KTA19. This one was in an ebay ad, rated for 600hp.

Heres one I found at the hangar where we work on our helicopters... I'm trying to track down the owner to see if he's willing to sell it!

We spec 565hp or 525hp ISX's and 425hp ISM's for all our new iron, it's used in the brutal oilfields. This unit is an example of a tanker T800 extended cab with a 565hp ISX. The tridrive differentials can be completely locked and they will go through almost anything. This one has monster 445/65R22.5 rubber up front. Legal weight of 67,000lb on these tridrive tanker units and 115,000lb with a triaxle pup in tow.

The ones with the biggest rubber on the front don't turn well because the steering has little range to it (due to the wide wheels up front), along with the longer wheelbase. The tridrives still let it turn themselves, but they do wear the 1st and 3rd's axles rubber pretty quickly.

With everything locked, you can let go of the steering wheel or turn it and it doesn't make a difference

What did you have to give for that old Watkins Motor Lines sleeper truck? I drive for them now (now named FedEx National) and we still have a few of the sleepers around.

I gave $4,000 for it. Couldn't pass it up. It was too hard on my mega cab and I am still fighting with dodge on tranny issues.
