Big Rigs Talk about other Cummins powered vehicles here. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even have to be Cummins, but it will be diesel! :)

I don't know entirely. but he said injectors, cam shaft, and ecm work. if he'd of reworked the turbos before coming in. I'm sure it would have been over 1000 rhwp.

Thats pretty hot. Mad you ever look at turbos or exhausts through NVG's? We were doing some practice runway repair at night, I was watching the crew through the NVG's when I catch a huge glow in the engine area. Surprised the crap out of me to the point that I put the NVG's down and looked with my eyes to make sure it was not on fire...LOL But it was just the IR heat light it was giving off making it glow like it was on fire in the NVG's... It was pretty cool once I realized the thing was not about to burn up....

I saw a turbocharged Subaru on Youtube the other day that the headers got about that red. In a matter of seconds of turning red they also blew out.

pretty common to see some glow on gasoline engines at full load...
That guy needs a bunch of air.. look at the discolored paint on the compressor side and inlet air piping... Charge air temps are some kinda hot..
We have some big Cat Natural Gas engines that run loaded 24/7 365... You can take a peek under the exhaust blankets and actually see the turbine wheels spinning inside the turbine housing. Its really cool that you can see right thru the iron housing.. Talk about hot!!.
I keep waiting to see one of you OTR guys drop the compounds and install the parallel twin set-up off of an industrial C-18...

yes air he needs, and he knows that and we know that. but dude just wanted a horsepower measurement. those are the stock acert turbos still. he'll blow past 1000hp when those get reworked.

and the C18 looks pretty nice too. I r&red an allison 6061 from behind a 900hp C18 last summer.
