I say HMMMM

:coloriver: Might have to put some gussets in the frame to support the extra weight and tow a fuel trailer as well.. :coloriver:

sifting information out of the older posts and i come across this gem.. im calling BS. at 2.40 he closes a whole bank of throttle blades (that serve no purpose) with no tone change. top right blower belts only have a few teeth of contact, no way its gonna turn that screw with 60psi fighting back the other direction. 3billion HP and not a drop of smoke. me thinks the whole intake is a polished up fake ontop a stock motor so beardy can stroke his ego at the county fair.

Anyone that knows half of what they are doing isn't going to stand next to an unshielded blower belt with it running like that. I call bull on this one too.

"...don't let my beard get caught in the gears of a transcontinental bus...and don't let me get hit...by a flying turd..."

...from George Carlin's opening prayer.

Now show us a REAL powerhouse... the RTA96C. Like ta see that much chrome per square inch on one o' them!

So where is the dyno? One big enough for 2400 HP is going to fill an entire room. And I don't see any shop with a dyno letting anyone near a contraption like that while it's running. Where's the smoke? A 2-stroke detroit smokes anytime it's more than 300 RPM off redline. You'd probably need a 4B for a pony motor to turn all those blowers (if they are real) to get it started anyhow.

You guys, do you even know what going on there. Before you go off on it. In the world of large frame industrial diesel engines that work for a living, you don't have to make a pile of smoke to make horse power. Theres usually something wrong with the engine if theres a pile of smoke at full load rated speed. This isn't some mouth breathers diesel pickup truck. Oh and the other thing, they're feeding retarded amounts of nitrous to it as well. says so on the final credit page, 3400 ish horsepower with nitrous. you can see the lines run to the tops of the blowers. how knows how much they used. how do you think BANKS does what they do with no smoke. massive amounts of nitrous.

the flappers are not associated with the throttle. there won't be an engine tone change, they didn't close all the way and those aren't even remotely sealed.

do you know where all the blowers are? He said 12. there are 12. I figured it out. its pretty friggin awesome. the blowers are compounded in 3 separate air chambers. 3 blowers feed 1 blower under it, which then feeds the engine airbox. theres not much boost in that first stage of 3 blowers. I wouldn't be worried about the belt engagement.

Dyno, not a problem man. Its hooked up to it. Last 2 shops I worked at had Clayton Water dynos that would lock up a 4000hp v20 MTU if you busted all the valves open at once. I think it was a 10,000hp dyno. Clayton makes them, Taylor makes them. Not exactly specialty equipment.

This is a little 12v4000 MTU on the dyno. not an issue. You can see the dyno driveshaft guard at the back of the engine in that clip. I can see it, you should be able to as well.

this is a stock 24v71 thats a pretty rare configuration to start with. but they exist. it uses four 6v71 blowers. he removed the turbos and stock blowers. put down 3 - 8v71 blowers in the valley and custom built an auxiliary airbox overtop with 3 separate chambers to mount the other 9 on top and compound the 3 underneath.

I'm sure that if he got his beard caught in the belts it would have made this video much better.
