Big Rigs Talk about other Cummins powered vehicles here. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even have to be Cummins, but it will be diesel! :)

turbo boost and pyrometer gauge

I have a 94 5.9l 190hp cummins DP AT542 tranny in a 34' Winnebago motor home.
Going to have the hp increase to a save level that won't damage tranny.
Should i put both boost and pyrometer gauge or can i get away with just pyrometer?

Thank you
John

Both is good but Pyro is required for sure.

As said, a pyro is a must; boost is luxury.

You can not overpower that tranny unless your going to pushing 500hp. It will adjust to whatever you throw at it within reason. I recommend both gauges but as previously stated the pyro is a must.

Good luck

Its easier to diagnose engine problems with both.
