Help with converting to 10 speed Eaton
I have a DT466 with a SAE 2 flywheel housing. It has a 6 speed in it: FS-6406 model with a hydraulic pull clutch. It has a flat flywheel.
I want to install an eaton 10 speed roadranger model: RTX 15710B It has a 2" input shaft with a sae 1 clutch housing bolted to it. Can anyone tell me what I need as far as: Clutch housing Clutch Flywheel (if my flat flywheel wont work) I'm thinking I will need a sae 2 clutch housing and will need to make a bracket to mount the slave cylinder. Not sure which bellhousing I would need. A part number or reference would be helpful. The clutch--I'm unsure of since I'm staying hydraulic. Do I get one that is self adjusting or something else. On the flywheel do I need a flat one or a pot style. Would it be benificial to downsize the input shaft or stay with the 2" I haven't really talked to anyone that knows their stuff that can give me a definite list of what all I will need so I can get started and get this thing installed. |
I'd bet you will have to swap the input shaft to get the proper length and pilot diameter, unless it came out from behind another 466.
