Big Rigs Talk about other Cummins powered vehicles here. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even have to be Cummins, but it will be diesel! :)

Is there a manifold that can be put on an air tank?

Is there a manifold that can be put on an air tank?

I have run out of ports on my air tank for extra accessories like air seats, air hose for pumping up tires, air horns and so on.

I have a 2003 F-750

I know I can tee into existing lines with push lock fittings, but I'd rather not do that.

Is there a manifold that I can buy that screws into a 1/2" NPT port that branches out into 3 or more ports?

I have read on the net that all my extras need to be tied into the first supply tank from the compressor......is this correct?

Not so much. We make manifold "logs" that are just t fittings with short double ended nipples between them and screw quick connects into the side of the t pointing out. They work fine, because in reality one person cannot use all four or five accessories at once. We use them so we don't have to change tool connections all day. Put a pipe plug in for a cap on one end and a feed fitting on the other. Call it a day. If you are feeling ambitious and have the room, mount it vertically and put a drain on the bottom for water/crud whatever.

^ This.

I use an electric valve for a purge valve. From the bottom port on the tank I run a few feet of hose so the water/oil/gunk has a place to run from the bottom of the tank.

Smack the button once or twice a week and flushes it out really well, and you won't get messy doing it.
