No such thing as a Cat 3206 so turning it up would be impossible. A 3406 and a 3306 in a truck possible and turning it up also possible but usually done by some old crusty mechanic that's been wrenching for 100 years. Check some of the local diesel shops, usually an old fart that will "turn the screw" for some side money.

Hey funny that you happen to ask ,if it is 3406 cat not many guys can turn it up for you the last one i turned up it was puting 600 horse to the ground you just pull the back plat off the pump and you need 7/16 socket and allen wrench turn the fuel screw out set the lock nut back it will screem.I have had two of them the are good engines.

It could also be a 3208. Those are generally associated with a gutless turd. I've done a few of em. Some dont have the adjustment screw, so you have to rig up some shims to give it more. Do a search for Low Buck Diesel Power, and it'll be there. I cant give the link, or I get in trouble.

If its a 3208, the best thing to do is turn it UP(side down) and replace it with ANYTHING other than another 3208...
You can turn it up, but it will still be gutless, only with more smoke.

if it is a 3208 it'll crack the heads if you give it a whiff of overheat and a 3% hill. don't turn up a 3208. just pray it stays together stock. or drop it in the ocean like the boat anchor it is, and repower it with something better
