Big Rigs Talk about other Cummins powered vehicles here. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even have to be Cummins, but it will be diesel! :)

Wow, did I get your old truck?
We just acquired a 2001 IH 9200i w/ a C12 @ 435Hhp. And fully 'loaded' I gross just under 36000.

DM2 Ultrashift

We have 3-2005 Freightliner Century's with the Eaton Ultrashift DM2 2 pedal Automatics, and I was wondering if there is any way to check the clutch wear on these? We just had one, just as the truck came off the exit ramp it shut down and would not go back into gear, and was towed to Freightliner where they said that the clutch was gone.

I would think there is some kind of indicator of wear, so that a "scheduled" clutch replacement can be done, not in the middle of the country where you have to get towed also.

Does anyone have info on this?? Please advise

What you are using is not the newer form that I have been testing & is no where near as reliable.
