No it dosent. Remember I hit over 1000 hp on a single silver bullet 66. I also towed heavy with that turbo, with mimimal complaints (no complaints if I kept it over 70 mph,, lol)

That sounds like a good kit to me. The small turbo will give your good response. With a bigger secondary, you're giving up a lot of driveability for some efficiency. If there was such a thing as a GT3576, I'd buy one, as its in the mid 50mm compressor range. But they don't, and I'll have to settle for a 62mm.

Yea, but the turbines are getting pretty small then. Talk about response though!
I'd talk to Mike and Brett. They are only an hour away from you, they'll build exactly what you want, and you know them. If there is issues, we'll get it sorted out. Likely won't have to wait 3 months for it like other kits. But I am a bit biased.

I just want fast spool and good cool for towing. Don't wanna blow it up either from crazy drive pressures. That's why the kits out there are good. Bolt on and forget about them. That's what I like. I don't want to be fiddling all the time.

If it were me, I would buy an external gate manifold, large gate, and run either a S475/S478, with your stocker. If you don't like, we change stuff. Give it a try. The stock turbo twins set-up it might be enough.

If it is in your budget I stand by my recommendation of the GT35R .82 over the S478 92mm 1.10 turbine. Steed speed external gate manifold and gate.
If it is not in your budget then lets use the stock turbo, steed speed manifold, external gate, and the standard S475 96mm 1.32.
Or possibly a mix and match between the two.

Do you think the 83mm-1.10 would be to small in either the S475 or S478?
The man RonA has a pretty good comparison of the S475 83mm vs the S480 96mm. From the dyno chart's its easy to tell which one I would want as a DD.

Now with that being said, using the 83mm makes the S475 very similar to the GT4202, other then the 4202 has a more efficient turbine then the S400's do. As just a DD and not towing much (as RonA's truck does) the 83mm is great as it lights quick, and obviously can still make for some solid numbers.
For a towing set I would love to be able to use the 83mm, but in about a 1.28 housing, just for the added cooling. Because that is not an offered setup I elect for the 92mm wheel (which wasn't offered when RonA did that test in 2008) for some added drive efficiency in the same 1.1 sized housing.
Even my own S480 I run a 1.25 iirc (from an OEM JD app ) and an 87mm turbine (wish the 92mm would work with it much nicer wheel). That 96mm turbine wheel really would be efficient pushing something as large as an 88mm compressor wheel.
IMHO the reason that you see the S475 1.32 96mm in every twin kit out there, is because it is a $650 charger, and it works fine. Can you get better? Yes. Is it going to cost you? Yes. The same 475 with a 92mm wheel is a ~$1200 charger.
Take it for the .02c it is worth, this is just my opinion after trying a dozen or so different combinations of chargers. Everything from a stock hx35 over a used Ht3b from the wrecker. To a GT3782R over a GTX4202R with a Tial V-band housing. One of those sets had less then $500 in chargers one had nearly $5000. Ironically the guy with the hx35 over the ht3b is happier with his set then the guy with the GT37 over the GTX42 who is going to be revamping that setup.
