Transmission Tune for 2008 6.7
 

HI guys,
Does anyone know of any options outside of H&S for a transmission tune for the TCM of a 6.7 that are in Canada?

While I am certainly not a 68RFE expert this is a common question.

You would likely get a better response on ABDiesels.com but I'm sure your best bet would be to call Armor Inc. in Red Deer for a local solution.

Not only are (were?) Armor Inc. an H&S dealer, they are also a EFI Live and Torque Tech dealer.


My understanding is that H&S US essentially went broke after the EPA fined them (and many other diesel performance companies) with a huge amount.
There is talk they moved to Canada under H&S Canada or another company name.

Unfortunately, I believe that H&S programmers are the only ones that could flash the external 68RFE TCM. Regardless of where you got that actual updated tune file from.
Perhaps the TCM can be bench flashed? ie. remove the module send the module out to be reflashed.
This would be awkward and a PITA for future changes and updates.

There are external interceptor boxes available to fool the TCM for this trans. ATS and BD in B.C. has them but re-flashing the TCM would be much better than an interceptor box.


LOL, not sure if any of this info helps... I would recommend searching in the 2007.5-2009 section of this forum also.

Anarchy Diesel does, I'am looking into a TCM tune now as we speak. I know late response but just incase anyone looks this up..
