From what I can see, I will have to get engineered plans only because I am going with a 16 foot wall,, if I was only going with 14 feet I wouldnt need them,,, I wonder if they would count the foundation in that figure,, LOL

You might want to give Penhold Building Supplies a call 403-886-4440 or 403-350-5611.

My local paper has an ad of theirs and they are showing a 36x36x14 high building package, 2x6 construction complete with insulation and interior cladding,windows and doors...... $13,999, everything but the concrete

They also show a 40x64x16 high pole building complete also for $16,650, same thing everything but the concrete.

Might be worth looking into.

yeah will do.... question though,, and I know it was asked before, but still not sure of the answer,,, what is the advantages, disadvantages, differences between a pole building and a normal 2x6 wall type building?

A building built with 2x6 has a concrete foundation with is more value dollar wise where a pole building is just that poles in dirt, insulation wood frame is warmer pole will always be drafty, its just fine if you dont want to keep it warm inside and the poles after a few years may rot off at ground level

cost him 4g for the foam job , and it warm and easy to heat , cost him 600 a year to heat his with diesel fuel

Aaron from CT Performance's Dad heated their new shop with one of those furnaces... but it is hard to get enough used oil for a person like myeself.

you can burn diesel in those as well, and used oil is pretty easy to get if you looking for it , get units, one of the shops i worked at heated with one ,

I have no room for a shop with what's left remaining for yard at the place we bought in Lloyd., so I had to maximize the space with the ten foot ceilings I had in a triple. To start, there was one piddly shelf in the front double bay and no railings on the stairs and landing into the house (great for a two year old).

Now keep in mind I cannot be accused of being a carpenter by the stretch of anybody's imagination; however, spare time from mid May to the near the end of July; 11 gallons of paint; numerous trips to the lumbar yard; cabinets I acquired in the states; and nearly a divorce due to my obsession to complete, the following was produced in the front double bay:

My garage here in Ft Mac, is setup like that. I built a whack of shelving, which helped, but my obsession with tools has out grown that now too.. lol

Local Ufa building supplies gave me a quote for $17,000. Thats 30x40, 14ft walls. No tin on inside, no insulation for roof yet. As it depends on batt or blow in. Windsor Plywood gave me complete building, $19,800. Then I need someone to build it. As Im not a carpenter, or have crane to put up rafters. Got 3 quotes for pole sheds built for $35,000 to $39,000 tined both sides & insulated. There not really pole sheds. Nobody makes 20ft poles, there either 2x6 or 2x8 glued & screw together. Only way to get a pole that long is power pole type, but there not same size top to bottom. The building will be built in less than 5days, massive crew shows up, down. Our truck dealer ship just have one built. The one Im looking @ puts prefabbed cement posts in the ground, then builds on top of that. Lumber must be cheaper in the southern part of the province or Im getting screwed.
