Thanks guys Ill start checking them out.
As for the motor its in a truck i bought this spring and its burned oil from purchase, blown out two rear mains in the last month and is now to the point that it wont start without ether and misses on at least number 1 at idle, if not number 2 and 3 as well. No codes, pulled injectors had em tested and they all passed. Huge amounts of blowby when you open the valve cover. its to the point that when i had my hood off to get ready to pull it today I pulled the oil fill to show buddy how bad it was and got oil on my windshield.
As a side note, if anybody wants to come help or watch to see what it entails if you have to do one yourself soon your welcome too. Ill be doin it in southeast calgary tommorrow thru the weekend. Heated shop with full hoist and all. just give me a shout at (403)554-3462. Names kevin.

Chances are that its not gonna be pretty inside. Phone around and line-up a good used motor. Can you run the earlier CR pistons in the new 05/06 trucks? The new stuff seem to have piston issues. My neighbor up the street, burnt out his #5,6 cylinders on his 05. He bought a brand new engine from moparTo bad they only give you half an engine, at full price. If you want to unload the old core, I might be interested.

Nope, I still need a newer CR 5.9 and 6.7L I'm gonna freshen up the 12v shortly, so its coming out. I need to find something to fill the vacancy spot.

I'm rebuilding mine locally, but buying the parts else where. Still don't know where I can get a set of rods cyroed locally. Do you shot peen the rod prior to cyroen? Would you guys do the entire motor?

couldnt be more right about that one. And no Im not sure as to it being number one thats not firing. The only reason I say is that after a drive around the block the front cylinders were at about 200F and the back was 450F. Talked to a guy that works on lots of these (at gcl fuel systems) and he said thats a bigger difference than he is use to seeing.
I hope this block isnt screwed, I got the whole front end off and tried rolling it over with a ratchet. It felt like one hole had resistance, other then that it might as well have had the head off.
If this block is gouged its not for sale, I need it to fire through the dealerships window. Bought this at southridge chrysler in okotoks and Im not impressed with them at all, just so everybody knows.

Oh and no worries about not being able to help, I can handle er on my own, just figured id throw that out there as an after thought.
