When we brought our Grand Cherokee CRD up from the states we got warranty from the dealer up here cant quite remember what it is something like 5 year 100,000km bumper to bumper for about $1500. We got it when the dollar was high and definitely worth it.

UPDATE---A big "Thankyou" to all and your opinions/advice and after spending several hours looking across this country of ours i did not find anything that was a good as this---so far IMHO.--A 6.7 is out of the question for me and guys with the newer 6.7 " NO FLAME OR WAR INTENDED"it just not for me. We have worked out a deal on this one,but conditions do appy,Carfax/Service reports/Inspection reports etc.I am going to cover my bro-law plane ticket too as he offer to come inspect it for me (heavy duty diesel mechanic)and a current 3rd genner owner 2003 dually.Well see if the pictures live up to my expectations-----All taxes/fees/gst/duty/cross boarder fees ect---PDI/documentation fees/(which is a crock/money grab) are included for under 40K+full of fuel.We dickered on price for a bit back and forth and i did get a 2 year Chrysler warranty. Some pics Later David--PS it came out of Oregon/Nevada or Wash State,so maybe never seen a lot of snow or cold and yes it has a block heater.

Congratulatons!!
You'll love the MegaCab. Not that I would know from first hand experience or anything - just one piece of advice:
Do not put anything on the back seat that you may have to reach for while driving!
I won't even mention the plethora of consequences that could occur.

Not that I'd know......................when you fold the seats completely down, you can get an actual single sized mattress in the back for "the park and peek".

Where does the time go----5 years with the Mega now----just hit 84500(134000KM---started it life with 32000KM with me) miles this week on the FATT 5.9,(personal plate)or FATedit the Mrs calls it.Besides new front end a few years ago(Hubs/u-joints/08 steering upgrade/ Carli ball joints etc, it has been pretty decent ride/trouble free.$7200.00 in hail damage last year that has been repaired and about 7500 in personal upgrades though out.I really have no interest in a new one because she still put a smile on my face and i enjoy the ride.More goodies planned in the spring.(GDP ladder bars, front diff cover, Carli suspension and a few little things). CHEERS----PS over the last 5 years i have had about a dozen people ask if i would be willing to sell it once they find out it is the last of the best(IMHO) with the 5.9.-----DW

Thanx for the update, the thread was an interesting read.
Had I known on my past 2 new trucks what I know now so would've gotten them both in the States and saved $50k, dealerships are d!cks when it comes to warranty.
That chapter is over, deleted the **** out of Skunky last summer and never looked back.

It was an opportunity that worked out for me this time, warranty means nothing these days.Even with the 1/2 dozen trucks that we run at work they are always trying to wiggle there way out or delay any work.Glad your ride is set up the way you like it now.DW---PS Montana shipping outlet works for me on parts too, pretty much buy everything out of the USA and drive down to the border to save some money,It is usually a couple of grand worth of goodies but you will save with the deals.CHEERS

Lookin cool buddy. I have to head up to ft nelson this earlier week, not sure when I'm back. I'll text ya when I'm heading back. To bad, as I have been bored to near death all Christmas.
Curious, have you pull the egr cooler off? Wasn't sure if I would get as much heat out of the heater removing the egr cooler?
