Man.. That looks like something I would see on a Waukesha... But the MTU tag gives it up to a MTU diesel.. Luke might have some idea..

He was putting it on his mustang

This is maybe the next step up for Kevin.

looks like the turbo off a Detroit/MTU 2000 series. definately not off a 4000. those are way bigger.

I can run that part number tommorrow and probably tell you the original application.

lets get a shot of it from the side. like whole thing. the inducer isn't that big though. it didn't come off a big engine.

That is a Garrett (duh) BTV85.

The turbo OE number is 714322-0002.

The DD PN is the number on the tag in front of you.

the OE compressor wheel is a 448671-0019
the OE comp cover is a 706570-0002
The OE turbine wheel is a 448953-0003
The turbine housing is 441881-0037

Turbine wheel Inducer is 99.1, exducer 87.9 Comp wheel inducer is 74.7, comp wheel exducer is 102.3.

11 turbine wheel blades

hope that helps

the HT4C I have in the garage has very similar wheel specs. that was off an older N14 I'm pretty sure. for sizing comparison.

Look, I may be jammed full of totally useless information, but all I know, is judging by the product tag, it would have been mounted on something pale green, that leaks.

Other than that, I am of no use at all.

I'm not bad mouthing you if thats what you think.

these are Series 4000 MTU turbos. they look bigger I think. I'm going to do a couple 16v4000 startups tommorrow on frac units. I'll look closer.
