I had the tranny done in my 03 done by Mels. It cost me $3700 3 days down and I was very happy with their service. The tranny shifted firm and smooth. They installed a suncoast valve body and had the converter built in Edmonton. If you get them to build your tranny be honest with them as to what you want your tranny to do. that wayt they can build it properly.

Mel has his site up and was wondering if those who had work done could write a customer comment on his new site.
Mel has built me 6 transmissions and installed 2 clutch's since I have known him. All have been 100% satisfaction except for the one clutch. That was my fault.

Had Mel and his guy's do thier stuff on my trans and it has been great. He has pulled and done some tweakin on the VB even after the warranty and year was up and no charge, now that is service. I was supposed to take it back after a short time/milage for a once over and adjustment but my daughter got sick and my world got turned upside down, gave Mel a call and he said just give them a heads up when I was comeing and they would fit me in.

Mel helped me out big time 2 years ago on our way to Mission. I had booked him to do a quick tuneup on my tranny. Just before I left home I found out that I needed to change out the tranny adaptor on the back of my engine. The starter wouldnt quite reach the flex plate. Mel was very good about pushing other stuff around to help me out and change that adaptor so we could continue on to Mission

His shop did my father in laws Auto tranny on his 95 CTD. Other than a few loose fittings on install and a cracked temp sensor it has been a good tranny. Mel didn't get a chance to work on it to fix the leaks due to distance so we didn't talk to him about it.
