I was lazy last night and didn't pull away all the junk around that motor. I'm impressed on how well everything bolted up. I can get a smaller turbine housing and smaller turbine disk, down the road.

My wife even commented on how big the turbo was

I'll snap off my comparision shots, my GT3788R is dwarfed by that beast.

Kev, your probably gonna have to run the exhaust manifold in the other position as that 5in exhaust will get every close to your firewall. I would have did that but as I said earlier, that I'm lazy. Its gonna be abit of a slug on the initial spool-up, but once it starts to spool, I wondering how your brakes are to hold it at the line. I think that your gonna like the top end that this turbo will give ya. I can't wait to see what it does for ya.

Mike I may just pull the hood off and run a stack for this year. As for the spool up, Im not worried about that at all, I have that progressive controller that will get her to spool pretty fast. I can adjust that puppy to start spraying whereever I want it too.

Mike did you have any luck with the t6 to t3 adaptor?

Yup got the adapter built and it fits pretty nicely. I think that it should work pretty good for you.

Hopefully you can break last years record ET with it.[

Guys at Alamo where supprised that turbo was going onto a 5.9L engine and the amount of power that your able to make with your truck. I can get you a smaller turbine housing but then I would have to change the turbine disk. You'll have to let me know how it works for ya, as this is the first little steps. I do have a T-88 turbo available, its a 120mm inducer monster and rated for 1200 to 1600 HP. Originally, I wanted to convert it to ball bearing and use it as a primary under the GT42, but I don't have the fuel like you have Kev.

4202 with a T-88 would make for a wild ride. Not that the 4202 with some spray won't.

I am thinking that in a 3rd gen fitting a 4202, and a T-88 would be the biggest issue. Though if you moved or removed the passenger side battery, with a bit of playing it probably could be made to work.

What track and when do you first plan on running it?

That will make our job much easier. When I am home, I'll get a measurement off the comp. discharge so you can get some boots ordered. If its like my 4202, its a 3.5" discharge.

Tate, I have an adapter that attaches to the compressor discharge, you just have to weld in a 3in 90 shorty elbow in the adapter. Everything fits together pretty nicely, its almost too nice.

That 5in exhaust coming off the turbo is big. I think that it should fit as twin use 5in exhaust of a big turbo and you can use your stacks. Might have to do some trimming to get stuff to fit in nicely. I'm curious on how well that it will spool on your truck. I guess we will know shortly. Its definately one cool looking single. As for building the GT42/T88 twins (I'm in, that would the coolest twins ever), I think that you'll need more fuel The turbine housing will have to be adjust for sure and a smaller turbine wheel will be required. It has a decent size internal gate, so you don't have to build an external gate system. I'll price out a ball bearing turbos and get back to you. We can do something like that for next year. It would be cool to put down some smoken fast times and get that ET's single turbo record down lower.

I have to get mine twins done someday. I can't figure which set-up to finish first. I have two set-ups on the go a GT3588R/GT4094R or a GT3788R/S475. The first set is to build the fastest spooling twins, the second set is for track.
