Get a plasma torch. It makes cutting easy I would do as Tate suggested for the bed. Just leave the outside metal/fenders and run a sheet metal tail gate and soft tonneau cover. Build all the braces out of aluminum. Remove the fuel tank. Kev, you have a sport or regular quad cab? If you don't have a sport, look for replacement plastic bumpers. After you get the bed fixed up, its time to have fun with the cab. You gonna box the frame and build a full tube chassisI guess that its the next step.

I wont go that far with this truck Mike. Yes my truck is a sport, going to pull the front bumper off when I pull the engine, see how I am going to gut the steel out of it. Tank is as good as gone,, it would have been gone already if we would have had enough time when we did the head etc. No plasma torch, so I will have to use a grinder..
