Man love this new price of diesel @ Airdrie Petro canada on Edmonton Trail

Lil Dog 03-05-2009 03:42 PM

I wish I got that here! [verymad] Still around .799 It was 68.4 at the Flying J near the Sherwood Park Dodge Dealer when I was up there couple weeks ago..

Can't wait until the FJ opens here.. Maybe the rest of the gougers in town will tone it down a bit. I miss Lacombe, the prices were usually about 5 cents cheaper.

DWeiler 03-05-2009 05:41 PM

69.9 today at the Fastgas off of 23 ST NE(across from the Saturn dealer/Kaltire in Calgary),he beats nearly everyone around but only cash/debit.Mohawk is always 0.05 cents higher that why they stopped getting my diesel money. His gas prices are at 0.789 right now.DW[roll][roll][roll]

how much is that in dollars per gallon

Eat Beef 03-06-2009 12:02 AM

64.7 is approximately 2.384(cdn) per US gallon

ccmckee 03-06-2009 08:36 AM

FYI the Roadking is now a flying J, 69.9 at CANPRO station Barlow & 23ave n.e.

Mlucas 03-06-2009 10:07 AM

With prices this low, it feels like the fuel is free-compaired to last year paying $1.56+ in BC....

1-5-3-6-2-4 03-06-2009 06:55 PM

sometime today Flying J calgary diesel plummeted, to 61.4c L I watch it everyday, i drive past it to work and coming home.

Yup, this is the cheapest I've paid since I picked up my dually back in 05. And to think I was paying $1.36 in Ft Mac in November! At least there is some good coming from this recession.

MDKram 03-06-2009 09:25 PM

Nisku Flying J, 62.1c/L this afternoon.

03 ant a hemi 03-06-2009 10:00 PM

DODGER BOMBER 03-06-2009 10:07 PM

Tate 03-06-2009 10:08 PM

.679 in Olds yesterday at extra foods. Finally some decent prices. Filled up for about 65 bucks[roll] thats been a while

from the flying J website nisku and sherwood park are the cheapest in western canada!

Mike Holmen 03-07-2009 09:25 AM

I also like the fact that their isn't really any big line-ups at most card locks. The card lock pumps are super fast and you can get 100 litres in less than a minute. Now with prices are less than 0.70 cents, I will have a bigger smile. I can't wait to put in some big miles on my truck, its been awhile since I put 2k-5k km in week. I miss the long ride.....At least you know your going somewhere..

Doj Dewd 03-07-2009 04:27 PM

anybody ever fill up at esso stations that carry diesel?

i filled up in chestermere last week and noticed they are carrying LSD - not ULSD.

i then went to esso's website and it looks like most of their stations (that carry diesel) carry LSD.

anybody else know about this?

How old is their website? I'd imagine its just that they haven't updated their site or pumps with the new stickers. I think the only LSD available is off road diesel.

ccmckee 03-07-2009 07:30 PM

They probably didn't bother to change the decals. I believe everything is coming out ulsd now.

Diesel Dave2 03-07-2009 09:03 PM

Let it come down...I have bio brain damage after making about 4000 gallons..[eyecrazy]

Doj Dewd 03-08-2009 03:24 PM

here is the station locator on the esso canada website: http://map.essostations.ca/locator.a...=38200912128PM

one of the searchable criteria is 'low sulphur diesel'.

The LSD sticker did not look old at all, it looked fairly new and un-weathered. I asked the attendant inside and he said it was LSD not ULSD - whether or not he is a trustworthy resource on the topic, i don't know.

Lil Dog 03-08-2009 06:53 PM

Just filled the new ride at the Flying J. $0.655. Feels good not to break $100 and fill it. Man thats more like it!

Tate 03-08-2009 07:25 PM

Just topped up in Nisku, around 62c/L there. I checked the Extra Foods in Airdrie, and its 74.9c/L.

Did you need a Flying J card or can you use debit etc. dad is in penhold and if there isn't a big hassle I will get him to start filling up at the RD FJ and maybe save me some inheritance[laugh]

ICL 03-09-2009 10:13 PM

Petro Canada on Edmonton Trail in Airdrie is .699 today

Nope, no club card. I just used the swipe at the pump. They don't do Air miles on Diesel or their loyalty points.. Why bother with their card?

Ditto..

I follow this website. You can search on any area, including gasoline.

Mike Holmen 03-10-2009 06:00 PM

Rob, I think that your in love with that fuel pump or just you drive to much? 69.9 cents, smoken.[coffee]

I just fueled up with 82cent gas today at that same pump. Darn cold weather..

ICL 03-10-2009 10:13 PM

Around 6000 kms in the last 6 days

1-5-3-6-2-4 03-11-2009 01:07 AM

yup Flying j is posted at 64.4 but you only pay 61.4.

Doj Dewd 03-17-2009 05:19 PM

so in regards to my post about esso having LSD instead of ULSD:
the sticker on the pump says 'low sulfur diesel' - but the PPM count on the same sticker says 0.0015%. so i guess it is in fact ULSD and not LSD. just kind of a confusing sticker at a quick glance. [duhhh][duhhh]

Mike Holmen 03-17-2009 10:08 PM

rob, Where have you been buddy? 6000km, you might need an oil change shortly. Nice man, hopefully they where fun and easy miles. My turn to go north next week.

With work "YES'---slow year is 70,000KM---worst year is 90,000KM---usually mileage out a company truck every 5 years.Kal-tire know me by first name cause it seem i"m in there every 10 months getting new "rubber on the wheels.Personal truck(07)will see about 12,000KM a year--- as the 01 will be my commute ride to Gull Lake on weekends for the 35+ trips i do over the season(about 7,000Km,a year). For the amount of driving i do i actually enjoy it---prefer to drive and watch the world go by rather than fly---just like the old man-----mother/sister would fly out east to see relatives, dad and me drove every time, probable the best days/time i spent with him when i was younger.DW

Oh yeah, just took my time, laid back, and listened to the radio. I went to Dawson creek, then to Coutts, then to Fort Sask, then back to Dawson, then off to Inninsfail, Whitecourt then home. All on the high load corridor which is 24 or 36.

I will not be moving again until after break-up.

Where you headed Mike?
