Isn't there a jiggle pin in the Cummins stat?

Some how I never seen the pin on either of the 3 new Cummins t-stats I got...Wink could you remember if yours has one??

on the new second gens ones they don't seen to . but on the the second gens they have that bypass hose ,

but the 1st gen has one in the stat and no bypass hose ....

Any of the stats i've had from cummins had jiggle pins,my truck, paul's FL .... hmmm must have been a change done.

I'm quite certain my cummins t stat has one. however i havent check the other t stat i have yet. either way, while this problem persists I.m gonna put a 3/16 to 1/4" hole in. I put my winter cover on the front for now and im gonnna see what temp that runs at. then try the t stat with hole. Time for some experimentation.

once real winter hits why don't you just pull the fan right out. I know a few people who do every winter.

Should be two jiggle pins on the Cummins T -stat that was part of the TSB the cheap ones that dodge put in originally had one and then they TSB'ed it the second one I had, Had 2 jiggle pins I will see if I can dig up one of the old ones for the 2001

Not much difference in price between a NAPA t-stat and a cummins.$45 for a NAPA T-stat and $50 for a OEM...

Luke, the trucks that take the fan right out, do they any idling? I'm gonna try that idea. Those trucks ever run hot?

no over heating that I know of in winter. they must do some idleing. how can you even get away from not idling.

Some cold winter days, I could idle my truck for lenghts of 1/2hr or more. Some days you need heat out in the field when you working and there are no warm buildings.

you could put a eletric fan on in the winter and use that if i gets hot , but thats just a thought
