Wire connected to frame question.

I’m installing frame brackets for a 5th wheel hitch on my 2010 3500 but there is a stud sticking out of the frame on the left side above the rear wheel with a connection coming out of the wiring harness attached with a nut. I’m thinking this is a ground connection but don’t want to grind it off if it’s something else. Can anyone enlighten me as to what that is for?

If it's bolted to the frame it just about has to be a ground. At any rate just relocate it and be done with it.

Thanks. It was a threaded stud on the side of the frame. I ground it off and relocated the connection to another spot. Everything still works as far as I can see.

I always like to use dielectric grease on my connections
