On Wednesday evening my wife along with a neigbour drove to the local community center in my 2014 3500. Because it was quite cold I let them off at the front door before parking and as they got out I heard a dinging noise and looking at my evic I saw a message that said my keyfob was no longer in the vehicle, yet it was sitting in the tray. I had just enough time to park the vehicle before it closed down. I then tried to start the engine with no luck and had to lock the vehicle with the valet key for the drivers door and then each other door by hand.

I then tried to unlock the vehicle using the remote and also using the remote start with no luck. I know this sounds strange but my neighbour drives a Honda SUV of some sort and she has a remote start similar to mine and she had her keys with her and this happened as she left the vehicle. I know I am grasping at straws here but I can't figure it out.

When the meeting was over my remote start worked as normal. Strange but true!!
