For the experts on the board, is swapping out a steering wheel from one to another a simple do? What I'm looking for is a steering wheel with the phone and audio controls on the front. Mine has the EVIC controls on the front which are next to useless as I'm not changing that view, like almost never. Yet I have to reach over and hit the phone button on the radio or reach over to change from one view to another etc...... I'd like one that has the phone/evic controls on the left and the Cruise on the right.

I've looked into doing this a couple years ago. I think it was 2011 when the phone controls moved to the steering wheel. I looked and compared the wiring diagrams for both 2010 and 2011 and found that it seems possible but will require a few changes in the wiring as well as the module for the steering wheel controls. I don't recall the module name off hand but I believe it sits either within the steering column or behind the knee panel somewhere. Been a long while since I looked into it.

I may have posted thread about it here. At least I recall starting it...whether or not I finished it is another story.
