sliding window switch

My 2012 SLT did not come with the auto dim rear view mirror so i'm looking for a key on 12 volt source near so i can pick up power for my auto dim mirror that i'm installing. Was thinking about tapping the hot wire on the power sliding window switch. Does anyone know if the power slider switch just pops out of the overhead console???thanks....Bobby

Getting in there is really easy. I took mine apart because i the switch was backwards (in my opinion). Really easy to swap the switch cover around if you want to push/pull the other way. Anyways, here are some pictures of how to get in there. There are two tabs just in front of the map lights. Just push them and pivot the back end down towards the dash.
