Shocks

I have read on occassion here that the stock shocks are not very good. Can someone recommend a good shocks for front and rear as that makes all the difference with wheel hop, ride, cornering etc. I am not looking to lift the truck as that will screw up the level I have to pull the 5er. Don't want the trailer looking like it is going uphill as that shifts more weight to the rear axle ..... read axle failure here.

Are you experiencing any of those symptoms?

We also bought a new 5th wheel at the same time we got our 2010 3500 so I wanted stability. Replaced my OEM's with Bilsteins from Genos and could tell the difference right out of the garage: Less front end float, and a little stiffer in turns. Truck height remained the same and have been very pleased with the towing this summer.

Not apples to appples, but I installed the blue & yellow Bilsteins last spring on my '03 and then test-drove a new 2010. The stock 2010 rides MUCH better than my truck with new shocks. Might be the tighter chassis and those c-piller isolators of the 4th gen. I dunno. Still not impressed with the Bilsteins though- I didn't see much improvement over the OEM shocks with 75k miles on them. Maybe the black and silver ones are better?

Preloader - The shocks just don't feel like they are doing the job to me. That's why I asked about better replacements. Thanks for the input guys/gals. I got my info to move ahead on.
