Question Dual cameras

Does anyone know if there is a second port on the 8.4 radio to hook up a cargo cam and is the programing already in the radio and just needs to be active? I already have the rear cam and am looking to install the cargo cam also. I figured that if anybody knew it would be one one of the wiring GODS on here. Mike

I can’t directly answer your question, but I removed my tailgate to install a v notched towing TC. I did not have the
bed camera when I bought the truck. The camera is available
for $550.00 which comes with a new lighting fixture. I was told that the wire was already there and just needed to hooked up. Beyond that, I really don’t known as the price keeps me away.

The wireless camera that that is sold by Garmin for their GPS Units is 1/3 the cost and can be mounted looking on the
same plane as the hitch and kingpin are, so you can see the pin going into the hitch.

I made the mistake of having ordered a cargo camera but not the backup camera I wanted. A kit from FCA was installed and now I can pick which camera to view. It works in reverse or by picking the camera from the 8.4 Info screen.

Dual Camera

Do you have the part number of the kit? My local dealer does not want to be bothered with looking for any kit or if it is an option that needs to be active. Mike

True or not not sure. So fwiw. My dealer told me the rear camera could be added later as all was there for it but that the cargo camera could not be added later needed to come from factory if that is the case you might check into a locpic

Part number for the Fixture and Camera combo 68163937Ai
$ 599.00 May have changed.

Camera only 68170934AF $ 334.00 note 3rd light. Don’t remember what the note meant, That’s installed in the existing fixture.

I was told the same thing a BarryG was told by the dealer in Calif. I know they make an after market one I've looked on line and it show the whole instaltion.
I was going take my cargo light off and see if by chance they ran the wire up there for the camera. Then I could just buy the cargo light/camera assy and have the dealer turn on the camera.
