Alarm system light. If there is a problem it will light up. At least that is what it was on my 07.

Ya its still sentry but should be called POS KEY FOBIC PILE OF PELOSI

I hate these fobic's. I think they were designed by the same retarded engineer that designed the fuel filter set up on the earlier 6.7's. some other engineer fixed that issue so the same retard had to "design" something that is a POS to keep his track record going.

list of fobic issues I have experienced

1. intermittent no start (no crank0
2. intermittent unable to get out of park
3. intermittently will not unlock or lock truck
4. one time it would not release the key from the ignition switch

all of the above will start working again if I turn key off (shut off engine) (or restart and shut off for #4) and retry or for #3 just keep pressing the buttons. Have been in chats with my service advisor and engineers and they all know its a problem. Was hinted by a good friend to keep an 8mm wrench with me just in case it won't release the key to disconnect batteries and reset TIPM to get key released. I am working a method to bypass this POS and releive me of my stress lol

After reading this I think the real problem is the person behind the wheel.
Didn't anyone ever tell you that you must treat your truck like a LADY. You must talk nice to her and never ever ever abuse her (the truck). Because your truck can be just like MOMA if she is not happy no one is. So if your truck is not happy than no one is. IE; the truck will not start and your not happy either.

oh don't get me wrong, i baby the truck, it gets parked in the back yard behind a sweet automated RV gate so it can't get messedd with by jockey short showin lil turds and gets a bath and fed 3 micron filtered #2 with fresh air filters every 4 months and cabin filters every 4 months (or less).

BUT

would still like to rip the head off the retard who designed the fobic key system

Same problems here, I keep my 1/4" ratchet with 8mm socket handy too. I sure hope you get a bypass figured out and posted up here.
