Hey guys I need some help I have a 2011 ram 2500 it has the standard mirrors power and heated,no chrome no blinkers , I want to upgrade them to the chrome tow mirrors with blinkers. Any idea if this is a simple plug and play or what do I have to do I want every thing to work like original.

 

Should be just plug and play.


I did the same thing on my Dads 02 truck. It was plug and play. With the exception of the Bluetec system, we are progressing technologically. I cannot even think that it would require you to splice any wiring. But, before you go and spend a bunch of money, pull the driver side door panel and take a peek.

 

Blake is there a easy way to get that mirror signal light to act as a running light? Thanks in advance.

 

But what I wonder is will the turn signal work on the new mirrors since my truck didn't come with them from factory

 

My 2011 2500 didn't come with tow mirrors but I had the dealer put them on (chrome with blinkers) and the blinkers wont work per Ram and the dealer.

 

Thanks for the info man I wonder if there some chrome ones with out the blinkers or if there's any way to wire them the trucks blinkers

 

The chrome ones will have the blinkers only. I asked Ram to let the dealer hard wire them and they said no. It's a joke! Ram said they wont never work. Good luck

 

Well that there wouldnt be an easy mod as in just plug and play. But it could be done. I havent had my new mirrors off yet, and Im not familiar with the wiring offhand. Im certain it can be done, just may involve a good bit of custom work, IE, completely rewiring the blinker off of a relay from the running lights and shooting that power over to the lights in the mirror.
