Cool! Looks like a pretty nice load. Can't wait to make my first pull. Will load my 46 Cadillac into the 30' car hauler and see how she does.

SG,

I am actually a welding inspector (pipeliner), and we were (Dad and I), given some old pipe from this line we are working on.

It's kinda unsettling pulling a 40ft bumper bull with that much pipe on it but that it what it was specifically designed to do.......

I had a hunch that it was something like that. Pretty awesome line of work.

My son is a welder who is trying to break into pipelining. Very hard to get into the trade up here. He's been buying equipment and tools and going to night business school.

I keep telling him that he needs to look into things down south.

Did I understand that you pulled that with the "step" bumper hitch or with the receiver?? Either way thats a "Whale" of a load on a "big" trailer!

Be safe out there, friend,
Larry

It's off the reciever. I refuse to pull off the bumper for anything. I just still call any trailer that ain't a gooseneck a bumper pull.

Thats an awesome photo. I am towing a 8.5X22 ft enclosed car hauler filled with my brothers household goods through Western NC to North AL at the beginning of March. Trailer weighs about 4000 lbs so it should be a good load. Will take some photos.

What is that pipe made of?

Blake, Its about time you took some of the new off the truck. Congrats buddy The truck looks awesome. So far the best load for my truck was four cummins engines, three 5.9L and one 6.7L. Throw in a couple RH47 and RE48 as well. I was impressed how well the truck handle the weight.

For the first three-four months I owned mine, I had a RV attached to it.

Blake, just a quick question, do you have the integrated trailer brake? If so, where did you set it for this pull. I just did a 500 mile trip with approx 10K pounds and played around with different settings, but I really don’t know where it’s supposed to be set.
Thanks

I do have the intergrated control it was set at 7.

They way I set mine is start at five and manually engage the trailer brakes. I engage them to 50% which is about where normal braking is. When Im coasting and apply the brakes (slow speed bout 5mph) and I feel them grab just enough to slow the truck thats where I like em.

My buddys 25ft gooseneck I pull with it at 3. Each is different. Havent pulled with EOH though.

You manually work the trailer brakes every time? Doesn't seem to integrated?

9K lbs is it? You need to work that thing a little more...my trailer weighs 9K

BTW, I was messing around with my new Witech pod (factory scan tool) and there is no adjustments for the brake control...I was hoping. I can however watch it peg the graphs for turbo speed, line pressure, and MPH

Um no, I just cycle it manually to set how hard it will grab, once I have it set to my liking then I let the truck do the work.

Hey its a bumper pull, dont want to get too crazy with it.

Ok

Time for round two!

36" .375 wall. 144 lbs per ft. One joint is 41ft the other is 42ft. A total load weight of 11900lbs.

Im right at the max weight for the trailer. Cant go any heavier with this one.
