first 3000 miles
Ive had my new 2010 now for just over 3 weeks and have put just under 3000 miles on it. So far i am still missing my 07, 5.9, QC, 4x4, G-56 but each day i am falling more and more in love with my '10. I haven't had much opprtunity to two any heavy loads with it, just light misc. loads. I can say that it seems to handle a gooseneck better (not as bouncy due to my trailer) than the 07 did, but this could be due to the longer wheel base.
in november i am planning a dear hunting trip to nebraska with 4 of my buddies , we are going to pull an 11,000 lb. Travel Trailer with my new truck so this should give it a good excercise....
for those familiar with new mexico & colorado, i will be going over raton pass and then up through colorado springs and denver. any advise when i start climbing the hills...

You will have no trouble going over Raton. They have been working on I-25 at Trinidad.Watch the signs and make sure you in the correct lane. Lanes are a little narrow going through that construction but not too bad.

To get the truck to downshift, you have to take your foot off the gas pedal. My 68 in my '10 refuses to downshift out of 5th or 6th unless I take my foot off the skinny pedal.

why not just manually downshift if you want to? i hate to lose boost by getting off the throttle, especially if you're downshifting at the bottom of a hill.
I miss my 6-speed while loaded, but the auto is awesome the other 95% of the time!

You should be able to keep your foot in it and use the stalk gear selector. Just hit the - until you get to a gear you want.... Tow/Haul with EB on is what I've read to use....
