Electrical wizzards

Ok, got a wiring question. I added some auxiliary back up lights under the rear bumper. I would like to wire them so they will work with the reverse lights ( which I know how to wire ) and make them work on a switch. How do I accomplish the task of making them work both ways?

Install a relay for the aftermarket lights and use the factory backup lights as a trigger and +12v (fused) for the relay power source. Add a switch using +12v (fused) between the relay output and the aftermarket lights.

That's the way we did it on the 2013 with the backwoods 4 LED's, works well, installed the relay,s (for other stuff too) all up by the factory ground point at the front of the box drivers side.

If you're still looking, here is how I wired mine in. They come on in reverse and also by the switch. Makes a great work light when hooking up to a trailer or unloading at the campsite.
