Dash display(VIC) gone, no lights

Just got into a 2014 Long Horn (like 2 days ago) truck has 16k miles on it.
Loaded with nav-heated seats-B/U camera & sensors etc. Did this once when I got in it day 1, this morning the display hasn't come back. Vehicle Information Center You can see the dash flickering a little bit but nothing you can read/see. tried restarting the truck and messing with various buttons to no avail. Anyone have words of wisdom here? Would like some info before returning to Dealer.

Go see the dealer asap, there are lots of problems with the Uconnect 8.4 in many chrysler vehicles not just the trucks and new parts like the display head are not available. We just replaced the one in my sons 2013 on our dime $2200 for a rebuilt one, without it you have no HVAC, trailer brake control, back up cam, nav or bluetooth which I'm sure you have figured out already. There is nothing else on the market to replace the 8'4 with so you are stuck.

Makes me glad my 12 didn't have it and nervous to get one if I ever move up again

It makes you wonder if getting a plainer truck without the 8.4 would be the way to go but as so many people have had trouble with it you can't help but wonder what will come out from after market, there are some now that will give you blue tooth and the back up cam but it's the HVAC and trailer brake that are needed. We thought about an aftermarket brake controller like the P3 I recently installed into my 2011 but we still wouldn't have any HVAC control.

I'll be heading to the dealer today. Lights came back and are working fine but in 4 days the dash(VIC) has gone blank twice. not sure if there will be a code stored for the problem.
$2200 to replace the 8.4 is a hit. Truck under warranty still.

I did the aftermarket radio with a backup camera but I wired the camera on a special switch so i can turn it on any time I want. Also aimed it to where I want. I can see perfectly to place the ball exactly where it needs to be to kook up a trailer and I can see everything on my trailer going down the road.

Been thinking about adding a little video switcher and another camera or two

Keep us posted and let me know if there's anything I can do to be of assistance.

display gone

dealer has ordered a new display. I was told it had a code stored pertaining to the display balling up. dose not display all the time. They said it would be a week to install, what the hell?
Must be a bigger job than I'd think. Glad warranty picks up the cost.
