2016 Manual Seats to Power Seats
Been looking high and low for wiring diagram or any documentation for swapping out the seats in my Ram. Upgrading to full electric. Bolts are no problem and I think from what I found only needs a power and ground. Dealer says all wiring is there just not used? hoping for a plug and play 2017 seats into 2016.
Searched and not much out there at all. Build manual not found, some documentation but say NOTE: No wiring diagrams included
Really
Seats found, free shipping 389.00 each side. Not bad
Any help or pointers greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You only need a power and a ground to get the power movement of the seat. I swapped MY 2015 seats into a MY 2012 and the plugs were different, so we just jumpered the power and the ground and taped the plugs up high so salt/sand from winter boots doesn't corrode the open plugs.
Going off memory, I think the yellow airbag/seat belt sensor plug was the same.
What kind of seats are you swapping in - leather Laramie or cloth Big Horn?

Not a 4 Gen but some years ago I installed a power seat track etc. in the pass side seat of my '06 so my wife could have a power seat as I did.
I bought the track w/ motors on line and the switch panel from the local dealer. I did have to make up a harness to extend the wires from the center section to the switch panel.
By far the hardest part was cutting a hole in the leather seat side for the panel.
It's worked flawlessly for over 10 years.
