Look through the pics and you'll see what I mean about the deep purple in it. I'm not a fan of purple or anything but it surely pops.

Yup pretty much. Looks like it has some minor updates like the lower control arms are tubular instead of stamped and the cab mounts are supposed to be hydroshockabsorbers or something . I've driven one and it rides/drives just great compared to my 07 stock vs stock.

The salesman that let me test drive a 2010 just left me a vm saying that Dodge just announced a $1000 rebate. Golly! Every other car maker has had that beat for months. They should be offering more, imo.

Yeah I went and looked at a Laramie 2010 Ram. They are nice trucks, so nice, they should call em status symbols instead of a truck. Dual glove boxes and more space in the center console to loose crap. They should be coming out with the Mega Cabs here in a few months, so the fold flat storage should be back. Took the idiot engineers long enough to figure out rear air vents were needed.

The cruise control is in a crappy location yes, the information display, well lets face it, a person will be ***king with it forever finding all the temp readouts. Gauges won't be too big a requirement, but I'd still get them so I wouldn't be having to shuffle through the info display. Dodge can't engineer a truck to save their flippin life, no matter how much crap they add to it.

Got to agree with you on that one. Its why im still driving my 03 dually instead of finding a Mega Cab dually and stretching it to a long bed and making another truck just like the one I have now but in a long bed Mega Cab. Sure would bee sweet though. I've seen a few around town lately and it makes me get the itch. Just not economically practical right now.

I thought this at first but you get used to it after a while. I've had my 09 hemi for over a year now and can quickly bring up all the different temps pretty easily. I also hated the cruise switch at first but now I like it better than the 3rd gen cruise switch.

Not sure if I will qualify for a new loan once I retire and won't have cash to buy outright. Hmmmm.
Your '05 is still a pup. Don't even think about saddling yourself with a longer payment if you're retiring and don't have enough coin to pay cash.
Based on your 10k mi per year, you shouldn't have any major repairs on yours for another 10years at least.

yeah i heard the same 1k incentive OR 1.9% for 60 months 3.9% for 72 months. I would take the financing over the 1k as you will save 2-3k from normal financing rates. AS of now, i have gotten dealers down 5k lower than MSRP not including this new incentive. Sure wish the new incentive was about 3500 or so as that would be reasonable IMO

My mileage will go down too since I used to drive to work every day plus I got me a beater Jeep Cherokee for driving around town and hunting. Sure do like the looks of the new trucks tho! Have to admit I like my early retirement better.

I got to crawl around one at the LA auto show a few weeks back. They're nice in many ways, but there isn't enough to make it switch from my current 05 that has 77k on it. Plus as others said, my 05 is closer to being paid off.

I'm going to wait til the 2012 model year and see if anything has changed enough to persuade me to get one. If not, I still have a long way to go to 300k.

Rob
