2 Questions: Homelink and H&S Minimax
2 Questions: Homelink and H&S Minimax
Homelink: Having trouble getting it to work. Doing everything just as the manual says. garage door opener working correctly and it is almost new. Anyone had any problems?
Minimax: I have the minimax that was installed in the ford. For putting in the 2011 dodge, i know it will cutoff the egr electronically, but with the dpf, what is the deal with that? I do not have the pipe yet, but want to go ahead and install programmer. Am i good to go on that? with the ford programming, you can choose between using hte delete kit or not. is it the same with the dodge?
Thanks for the help...

homelink- if you have a newer garage door with rolling codes, you must call homelink and have them go over programming with you.
if you leave the DPF on, and have the mini tuned for dpf removed, it will plug up the dpf pretty fast and start choking out your motor. yes it is the same as the ford programming in the sense you choose if DPF has been removed or not.

Did you get your homelink working?
Do what the manual says, once the remote is programed to the homelink (one of the three buttons) you have to find the learn button on the garage door opener itself. You push and release the learn learn button run back to the truck and push the homelink button you programed the remote to, you will have to push it at least two times maybe three.

minimax
I put the mini on my 2011 a few months ago and couldn't be happier with the difference. I took of the dpf and the nos and replaced them with a straight pipe. The monitor runs through a series of prompts allowing you to select whether or not you still have the dpf installed. The best part was not having to do anything to the egr; the programmer simply turns it off. My mileage went up about 2-3 mpg, but since I don't have to worry about the regens anymore I expect the mileage to be consistently better than stock.
