18mm lower control arm bolt size ?????

Hey could someone measure the exposed thread diameter on the lower front control arms ? I have a set of stock control arms off a 2010 Ram 2500 4X4 and the lower front holes (ID) measure .710" approx. the back holes measure aprrox .630"
My cam bolts on my 2003 Ram 2500 4X4 are 16mm which means I would have way too much play. The 2010 4th gen control arms are the same length and will mount up perfectly except for the bolt size difference on the front lowers.

BTW I called Dodge. They say the 2010-2011 lower control arm cam bolts and nuts come up as 16mm but they didn't have any on hand to measure. I say they must be 18mm

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

I happen to have a bolt right here since I just replaced control arms. It measures .662 on the threads. Not sure of the metric equivalent right now.

Which control arms did you go with? Why did you replace yours and how was the install? I'm waiting to do mine until Don gets his new ones made but can't decide if I want to do the work myself.

Thanks for measuring. Weird I have the 2010 lower control arm right here. The front ID diameter measures .715" the back ID diameter measures .620"
The upper 2010 control arm ID's measure .550" for both.
Can you measure the actual shaft OD? Maybe the non threaded shaft is slightly larger to work with the .715 ID ?
Want to sell those cam bolts, washers, and nuts or are they damaged. ?

Thank you

Sorry, cant measure the shaft, I just reinstalled them, they were the only bolts that I had to reuse with the lift I just installed. They were tapered at the shaft but I really cant say how much.

Just installed a lift kit with longer contol arms, only problem I had was not supporting the front diff. at the drive shaft. When I removed the control arms the diff. rotated and pulled the front drive line apart.[duhhh] I jacked up the diff., lined up the splines and it slid right back together.

.662 X 25.4 = 16.8148mm

18mm devided by 25.4 = .7086
