$750 gift, or not

$750 gift, or not
Maybe it is another example of Murphy's Law but I got a nice mailing from Chrysler yesterday almost exactly a week after I purchased my new 2500HD. The mailing offered a gift ($50 I think) for test driving a HD Ram and $750 in addition to any other incentives or rebates for buying one. The fine print clearly states that if you purchased any time prior to getting the mailing the offer is not valid. So Chrysler only irritated me, but maybe if some of you are close to pulling the trigger (or have a truck on order) it would be beneficial to get ahold of one of these offers. Ed

My buddy received something like one of these right as I was negotiating my deal - he's bought three Dodge truck/SUV's while I've bought six Dodges in the last ten years...they said it was something like a gift for being a good customer. So what gives - people who buy more aren't as good a customer?
Anyway, the dealer let me use my buddy's mailer for the discount, since we have the same address.
They say never to look at the vehicle ads once you buy something, or you'll be disappointed. I guess now we should never check our mailbox?

For what it is worth, this is my first Dodge pickup or SUV --so I'm not on the good customer list. I did contact Dodge with lots of questions etc. on the HD trucks?? Ed
