What Do Y'all Recommend for Fog/Driving Lights?

I'm looking to mount 2-4 fog/driving lights behind the grill guard on my front bumper. I want them to be halogen to match my factory headlights and fogs, so no HID. What do y'all recommend? I do a lot of driving on dark roads early in the morning and a little bit of offloading at night. I want to really light up my path.

Most of the big trucks around here that have to drive through elk and deer infested roads around here use the 9" Hellas. http://www.myhellalights.com/index.p...xiliary-lamps/

I have a pair of KC Daylighters mounted on one of my Rhinos and I love those for night rides. They really light up the night well. http://www.kchilites.com/lights/dayl...ng-range-black

Been running these for years they
are landing lights for small aircraft. Inexpensive and stealth solution since theyre only 4" diameter.

I was going to suggest landing lights as well. The link you provided were for 28 volt lamps. How are you wiring them?

I was gonna ask the same question about the 28V.

Are landing lights brighter than an off road light would be?

Depends on which one you compare. I know this I have 2 of the landing lights mounted on my replacement bumper and after you have ran with them on for a few miles if you have to turn them off and run with headlights its like having no lights at all. The reason I run them is they are really inexpensive bulbs are available in almost every parts store.

Do they come as an actual kit with a mount and housing? Maybe I need to look at the website some more, but what you posted just looked like a replacement lamp.

No they arent a kit. You are right they are replacement bulbs meant to be used in aircraft they are 4" diameter so you buy the lights then 4" rubber or metal housings with hardware and viola driving lights. They are a sealed beam not flood type light. The pic doesnt do it justice but I have two mounted in the fog light holes in the bumper and two mounted in the deck of the bumper at the bottom of my grill. The fogs are ran to a relay tied into my factory fog light switch and the others are ran through a relay and seperate switch. If you go to the parts store and ask for a wagoner 4509 bulb and ask for a tractor type rubber housing they will fix you up. I know it sounds redneck but turns out really clean mounted in a full replacement like you have.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely look into that. It seems like it would be a much cheaper option than the Hella lights I've been looking at (although I gotta say I think the Hella Black Magic lights would look sweet on my black truck).

Probably gonna go with the KC Daylighters. They seem to offer the most bang for the buck and they have excellent reviews.

They're a good choice and the same reason I went with them. They have been working great on my Rhino. You can see them on the red Rhino.
