Water methanol mix
Just picked up my truck this past weekend, first time diesel owner . Does anybody have any input about the pros cons of Banks straight shot. This 14
truck is nice just curious about it? And yes thanks for all the input you guys have provided I joined in Jan and helped made my decision on what truck to get.

I've never seen gains like that on a water/meth kit. if you feel the need for one (first of all, do you have any gauges installed to monitor pyro etc?) you are paying a crap load for just banks name.

First, read the sitcky in 3rd gen High Performance section on water injection. Lots of good reading.
Second, the Banks kit appears to be a repackaged Snow kit. I checked and apple to apples the snow kits are about $100 cheaper for the same options on average than the Banks. So you pay extra for the Banks name. I would buy the snow performance before Banks everytime. But those are not the only two out there.
I can tell you first hand that Snow's customer service is better than Banks... by a long shot.
If you get the Snow towmax or MPG versions, the controller has built in gauges (boost, egt) since the system runs off the dynamics of those two perameters.
Water/meth is effective in cooling and can boost power as well. Though I run straight water for cooling mostly.
