Hey Mike

Those are Isspro's and its all electrical coming in. Dont need a stubber.

Well, the SB DD3250 is in. Seven more wake ups and I get to drive it. My buddy Carlton (who incedentally introduced me to DTR) drove it home from the shop. He has been considering getting rid of his 08 for a Duramax, and called me tickled pink. Hes got the fever for a new one. Couldnt get over how hard it was pulling with the new clutch and H&S on mild....

Wait til I get some more thrown at it...

And he said it was quiet too. We shall see how it does after a couple thousand miles.

Not supprised, the 6.7L put down lots of torque, very easy. Supprised that dodge doesn't run a dual disk in the stock truck. You probably could very easily break 1000rwhp, way easier than a 5.9L could.

Thankfully SBC have fixed that rattlin sound. We ran a SBC in a 3250 in a NV4500, on a 97 12V 4k gsk, stock injection pump, stock injectors, S366/0.91 T-4.

Keep the updates coming, might have get onto fixin up my 02 and throw that 6.7L into it that I've been dreaming about for the last year or so, but the old 24VP engine runs so smooth these days, with hardly any blow-by. RFE68 aren't worth the effort to try to R&D into a decent transmission to hold any amount of power. I'm going to leave the 2010 almost stock for now. Might throw a lift kit and some wheels onto the truck.

Ok new goodies tossed on the truck.

Swapped the 45 gal fuel tank for a bigger one. 90 gal RDS tank toolbox combo.

And some stuff fell off from under the hood too. Dang Bluetec thieves.

Went a different route with the deletes this time. Put a full intake on. Glacier Diesel Power S3. Looks good. Easy install. Made great. Even has a spot machined out for the #1 injector line, and a nice little machined dipstick mount comes with it. Top notch stuff.

Here is a comparison of the stocker vs the GDP as far as terms of flow area. Its a huge difference. I noticed about 100deg drop in EGTS across all driving. Havent seen over 1100 even WOT since putting it one.

More stuff going on the truck after Christmas. No go fast parts, but fun stuff nonetheless. Stay tuned.

Oh and I cant say enough about the SB DD3250.

Yeah its noisy. Not when driving, but in neutral with the clutch out at times it rattles like a jar of marbles. Press the clutch a couple of times and it quiets it. You do get some gear rollover noise when lugging it. Keeping the RPM's up stops that.

Is it worth it. TEN THOUSAND TIMES YES!

My truck drives like better than expected. I cant describe it. What surprised me the most was yesterday the wife and I were caught in Lafayette traffic, and I got a little perturbed at a couple of inept drivers. Well lets say I umm, applied more throttle than necessary and probably shouldnt have dumped the clutch.....

Anytime a 1 ton dually can break all four back tires loose at a dead stop and not stop unless you back out of it...

Yeah Im impressed.

Blake,
How come you did not install the Air Boss 67 when you did the intake manifold. I'm just curious?
Also, did you install the silicone boost tube or just keep it stock?

Hey B

Didnt consider it, might in the future though. We dont get cold enough down here for the grid heater, but I never know where im gonna end up. Besides, my goals powerwise, should be ok with it in place. And no I just left the stock boost stuff in place.

Mike

Water/meth is a possibility for EGT control if I need it.

Im gonna run some 90 DDP's.

The new turbo is still at its owners place. Im gonna do the studs and inj first and Christmas cash is on the low side right now. Gotta get back to work and save a few pennies.

Which turbo you going to run? Did you get a Steed manifold? I just wished I would have bought a manual truck like you.

Just be careful, those G56 don't like much more power than 700rwhp

Congrats buddy

Ive talked with Caleb at Fleece Performance, when Im ready hes gonna set me up with a complete package deal with a Billet S466, steed T4 mani, downpipe, intake and filter, charge piping, the works.

A whole bolt in package.

All I got left to do myself is the Airdog, then send it out for the studs and inj. Then Ill get the turbo sent over.

You getting a special tune from H&S? You'll need it to delete the stock VGT turbo. There are two coolant plugs you'll have to get as well. Its pretty easy install, probably the most time consuming part is ripping off all the stock stuff.

Anybody tell you'll need to upgrade the CP or add a fuel rail shim? 90's are about max size for the CP. Watch the rail pressures on the bigger tunes. Nice build buddy.

Mike the H&S will run the truck with no VGT and no special tune. Fleeces kit doesnt have the coolant plugs but Caleb said they may start including them in the kit.

Im hearing that the stock system can handle up to 100hp injectors. If I have any issues Ill toss a bag of parts at it.

Ok

Some non-goes fast (but good time) mods.

The factory Alpine "premium" system as we know aint very premium. It aint much of anything to be honest.

So.....

Door speakers got swapped out. Alpine type S 6x9's in the front and rear doors.

Next up. The sub. It got tossed too.

New JL 250/1 amp. Putting wattage to a JL 12 W3 stuffed inside of a FoxBox. Now this aint audiophile quality stuff, but its a billion times improvement over the factory system.

With the seats back in, and cleaned up. Great fit on the box.

Tapped into the factory sub wiring for a line out converter and I have a JL remote bass control to adjust the sub on the fly. Sounds pretty dang good.

Now for one of my favorite little mods. I dont listen to terrestrial radio much, always iPod or Sirius. That being said this little bugger does catch pretty well, but sure looks really nice.

Its made really well too. Machined out of aluminum and then powder coated. I like it.

Blake,
I definately like the JL Sub/Box combination. I wish they made one of those for the Mega Cab. I hate the factory stereo but really do not get into the sound system mods too much. I thought about just taking it into a professional and letting them do it but I hate paying labor if I can help it. Anyway, looks great.
