Should I get a steering stablizer on my new truck?
The steering on my 98 was terrible (to me)
Would you add a steering stabilizer on a brand new truck, or wait to see how the components wear? |
I think you can wait. The stock one is fine. I replaced mine around 33K miles when I had to replace the shocks. Went with the Bilstein 5100 series.

I'm at 188k miles on all stock front end parts. I travel a huge variety of roads, and have never dealt with any death wobble. In addition.....my tires are wearing great, too.
The '13 & newer 3500's and '14 and newer 2500's have really beefy suspensions and front end parts. There's no need to upgrade anything like on your '98..... |
They work great (when stored behind the front seat) to keep the truck from rolling when the parking break is broken.
Just place it in front when facing down hill or behind the right front wheel when facing up hill IT MAKES THE STEEING ROCK SOLID. |
