Should I drive it or not?

I ordered the h&s dpf delete, the exhaust came in but the programmer is a few more days out, I installed the exhaust and the truck seems to run great, the check engine light is on and the display on the dash says to see dealer immediately, and that the dpf filter is 90% full. Will it hurt to keep driving it or should I just park it?

I think I read somwhere that it'll eventually limp if you do... Might check some of the delete threads or search... Wouldn't want to get stranded.

You need to put the programmer on first, then the exhaust. The truck still thinks the dpf is still there, throwing it out of wack

Which programmer you using and what tune? Mine been doing the same, the exhaust system message just came in yesterday. Each time the H&S clears the message during start-up. I'm going to ignore the message as long as my truck doesn't go into limp mode. Running a delete pipe, there is no DPF/cat to be full, so I wouldn't worry.

My older tune didn't have this message, just my new tune. I'm running black maxx 6.8.41. My old tune is 6.8.21

I have two flashcards one with the 6.8.41 and the old tune 6.8.21

I ran the truck for a week about 500 miles total with a full 5" straight pipe turbo back with absolutely no programmer. I did not have any issues with it and even pulled trailers that way. installed the programmer the next week with no issues at all. Now the truck runs awesome with the full deletes done!

Except the MIL came on and you got a bunch of codes, right?

I'd say "Welcome to the delete club!" but..alas,I'm not a member...yet. Patiently waiting for my powertrain warranty to expire. Tick. Tick. Tick.
