Question on late model 4x4's

Yesterday I test drove a new 2500 Laramie 4x4. Oh it was nice (and expensive).

Question I have did Ram change the front axle design whereas the front drivetrain is no longer turning while disengaged? The lot lizard mentioned it but I want to verify.

Took a quick look at my 2015 with the Aisin as the wife pulled into the driveway the other day. The front drive shaft was not turning.

Thanks.

I did research and the newer trucks have CAD (Central Axle Disconnect). Not quite as good as free spinning hubs but better than the previous setup with everything turning up to the transfer case.
