New truck???
Ok guys, I'm coming back to DODGE after a horrible bout with the powerstroke...
My question is, What year truck to AVOID???
10',11',2012' ????
My last Dodge was a 08' mega, have things changed much or same setup on the motor.
I heard rumors of the ECM's not being programmable on the 12's, when did they go to Euria, or have they???
Oh, yeah... I will be modding whatever I get!
Thanks,
Gino

No urea on pickups yet, I would go with a 2011 HO, stronger torque converter and solid ECM. The 2012's are sometimes finicky with aftermarket tunes and not 100% stable yet. The Powertrain/engine is the same as your 08 accept ECM and later torque converter changes.

ECMs are still programmable, but all programmers will leave a footprint in the ECM if you go back to stock. Plan to be your own warranty station if you mod, but that isn't any different than before!

I love my 11 - its even better after deleteing a few things.
If you are not looking at a megacab (my choice) I'd go for the CC and add a full bed. You'd have to put up with urea, but other than that theres a stronger tranny and the 4500 is just bigger everywhere. Upcoming release of the long hauler may solve my need of a megacab with a full bed, but the wife will skin me if I even think about it yet
