Chris,
What difference are you seeing in MPG stock no-delete vs. JR no-delete?

I don't have the smarty yet. got a tracking number from Bob last night. should be here tomorrow or saturday so I am going to load it up! didn't have a chance to order exhaust last night. have a buddy in east texas that has a downpipe and delete pipe he might just send me (since we went full race on his truck and has it laying around) until I get more of my mad money account built back up to get the exhaust I want.

Ok. Waiting with baited (diesel) breath. My problem is that my dealer wouldn't likely be amenable to warrantying my deleted rig. Hell, I had a VanAaken V5 plug and play on my 01.5 and the first time I had an issue with the truck (turned out to be a turbo problem causing overboost issue) they opened the hood and closed it once they saw the V5. Said I needed to remove it and see if the problem persisted. I did, it did and they replaced the turbo under warranty (5/100). I realize that plugging the Smarty in may cause them heartburn down the road but I gotta do what I gotta do.
I don't need more power. Yeah, yeah, I'm one of "those". The truck does everything I need it too as it is. If I can do it and get a couple MPG more while maintaining at least a smattering of warranty, I'm gonna do it!

ya but the ol lady would cut me if I did. her and the kids have something planned. its all good. i can have it deleted in a couple hours. crank up the IPOD and ignore everyone and just smile the entire time I am doing it!

I can have the OL take pics of the process and post if needed.. I know Blake did a killer write up but if anyone has any specific questions and needs a specific picture, let me know and I can

Make some calls in regards to the S&B intake especially if you have remote start on the truck.

Every place that I asked(H&S, Xtreme diesel, and S&B) said that I would not be able to use their intake on my truck with remote start.
I really wanted the S&B because of the enclosed case, but had to go with AFE instead.

S&B does not currently have a CAI for 2010-up trucks. they are doing a design change for these model years and supposed to be released in August

just got off the phone with tech support at S&B. the issue being resolved is clearance with lines under the box, the check engine light with air filter related codes.

as for the remote start. i know on my 11, the pin switch for the hood ajar light is integral to the hood latch. 07.5-09 with remote start had a pin switch on the fender for the hood ajar switch. They did some MAF sensor placement changes also for 10-up trucks. There is 1 prototype being tested right now and the changes made are being tested this next week. scheduled release date is 8-1-11.
