The Goodie Package
Hey all! I know there are a lot of scattered responses on here, but I just want to make sure for myself.
I just got a 2011, and I am wanting to do a few things to it.
CAI, Exhaust and Tuner.
From what I have gathered I should be going with an H&S XRT Tuner (I prefer downloaders) and then AFE Stage 2 Dry filter (I live in AZ, super dusty), and for the exhaust I was going to do a Flo-Pro 4'' DPF delete.
Let me know if this set up sounds good to you all! If you have any suggestions that would make it better let me know.
Thanks all!!

If you are going to tune it you should also delete the EGR system and throttle valve. Cleans up the engine bay nice and gets the unnecessary items out of the way. Be sure to do some gages as well. Definately want to monitor those EGT's. My truck had very high EGT's until I did some tasty intake mods.

Having lived in the desert (ElPaso TX) I wonder about using a dry filter over the S&B washable? We were running a small fleet down there and changed everything over to wet oil bath filters. During the "dust" storms we "Had" to be able to work in the desert around white sands. Dry filters failed too often by plugging and killing the trucks, but our Ivecos just chugged along. We cleaned them out as soon as possible and you would not believe how much crud was in there.
Not having either on my truck yet 'll let others comment.
Congrats on the new ride!

Really? hmm.. Maybe the S&B then, from what I have read, everyone seems to be having difficulty with the install due to the AC line. Im not a fan of have to mess with lines and stuff. I like to be able to bolt in and be done.

I spent a few months in Odessa Tx, one some pretty rediculous right of ways. Dust like you only see in the movies.
Had an aFe dry then on the 08. Would wash it once a week and check the tube for dusting. It didnt, not one bit.
Its dry filters only for me. High quality dry, but dry nonetheless.
