Bully Dog Tuner Gen4

Anyone on here tried the Bully Dog on their Gen4? Specifically 2015 or newer with the unlock cable? Thoughts?

I just installed the bullydog on my 15 this weekend. It wasnt all that bad to do but it did take like what seemed a couple of hours to install. Unlock was simple no worries there. While i was in the whole process i just watched the youtube video. The box tuning on the bullydog isnt bad at all and its what the truck should have stock.

Chadder, i saw on the bullydog site there is an option to change speedometer on certain models. Is that an option you see for the 4th gens?

Do you mean change tire size or from metric to English or remove the speed limiter? I'm using the mini maxx on my 2011 and my son the BD unlocked on his 2013, they are quite similar but no interface with the transmission on the BD and you must use the "unlock cable" with the BD if deleting.

Pretty much what I was looking at was another option to the hypertech speedometer calibrator. Would the bully dog allow me to change the speedometer readout when installing larger tires. Since it would be a waste to buy the hypertech now and then picking up the bullydog only to find out it does the same function if/when I decide to delete.

i think you can but im not 100 percent on that. There is a option on the BD about tire size but im not sure if it changes the actual speedometer on the truck. If i were you id call BD to clarify.

I agree to call BD as not all their tuners have the same capabilities, by talking with them they can tell you which model of tuner will do what.
