I need help! I have a 2012 dodge cummins out of warranty. Looking to cut out and install a 5" pipe from turbo to muffler. Taking out the DPF filter.

So my questions are:
1. What is the best programmer to get the best fuel mileage?
2. What programmer to delete the DPF filter?

I'm not looking for power just better fuel economy.

I've read on here that a Smarty Jr. is the best overall. Do a search for programmers and you will gets lots of info on here.

For your year of truck I would Recommend the EFILive tuner. Smarty no longer offers a delete tuner all of the new tuners sold our emission compliant.

EFILive is the only one for 13 and newer, you can still find some older smarty and H&S floating around that will delete the 12 and older.

but if you buy efi live v2, can you tune the deletes yourself and can you download your stock tune or do you need to have a third party tune it for you?

Raceme tuner can be used to delete your DPF.. It is a safe tuner when kept on SW 1 OR SW 2
Also now has downloads for transmission tuning which is a real plus.. best of luck
