auxiliary fuel tank
I plan to put a auxiliary fuel tank in and use gravity feed to fill the regular tank. Does any on know how to remove the metal fuel filler tube? I know it has a clamp at the tank end but not sure how to take the other end off.
thanks

Most cut the rubber hose below the filler and put in a T fitting, most people go with a 12 volt transfer pump now as gravity feed is against the law in some states and Canada, cheers

I have a 70 gallon Transfer Flow System in my truck. I know lots of people who use the gravity feed system. Before you say no to a pump, consider that after a year or so, junk in the bottom of the tank will drop into the trucks tank which will task your single fuel filter. Filtration is the life of the injectors. So if you don't have extra filtration I would add the Pump with a 20 micron sock on the intake in the tank for the pump and add a filter prior to the pump.
I use a racor marine SM2000 with a visable bowl and 10 micron filter before it get to the truck's tank.

Have you considered a larger tank in the factory location under the bed? I've had my eye on a Titan tank for some time but haven't pulled the trigger yet. They have a 60 gallon that replaces the stock tank at nearly twice the size for my long box that uses all the factory parts and gauge.
